چکیده

As sessile organisms, plants possess a complex system to cope with environmental changes. Ca2+ functions as vital second messenger in the stress signaling of plants, and CBL-interacting protein kinases (CIPKs) serve essential elements plant pathway. In this study, calcineurin B-like protein-interacting kinase 26 (BdCIPK26) from Brachypodium distachyon was characterized. Overexpression BdCIPK26 enhanced tolerance drought salt transgenic plants. Further investigations revealed that BdCIPK26 participated abscisic acid (ABA) signaling, conferred hypersensitivity exogenous ABA promoted endogenous biosynthesis. Moreover, found maintain ROS homeostasis under conditions. Therefore, study indicates positive regulator response.

BdCIPK31, a Calcineurin B-Like Protein-Interacting Protein Kinase, Regulates Plant Response to Drought and Salt Stress

Calcineurin B-like protein interacting protein kinases (CIPKs) are vital elements in plant abiotic stress signaling pathways. However, the functional mechanism of CIPKs has not been understood clearly, especially in Brachypodium distachyon, a new monocot model plant. In this study, BdCIPK31, a CIPK gene from B. distachyon was characterized. BdCIPK31 was downregulated by polyethylene glycol, NaC...

Genome-Wide Identification and Functional Analysis of the Calcineurin B-like Protein and Calcineurin B-like Protein-Interacting Protein Kinase Gene Families in Turnip (Brassica rapa var. rapa)

The calcineurin B-like protein (CBL)-CBL-interacting protein kinase (CIPK) complex has been identified as a primary component in calcium sensors that perceives various stress signals. Turnip (Brassica rapa var. rapa) has been widely cultivated in the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau for a century as a food crop of worldwide economic significance. These CBL-CIPK complexes have been demonstrated to play cru...

A Protein Kinase, Interacting with Two Calcineurin B-like Proteins, Regulates K+ Transporter AKT1 in Arabidopsis

Potassium is an essential mineral element for plant growth and development. Although it is known that plants absorb and transport K+ through membrane transporters, it remains unclear how these transporters are regulated. Here we show that the protein kinase CIPK23, encoded by the LKS1 gene, regulates K+ uptake under low-K+ conditions. Lesion of LKS1 significantly reduced K+ uptake and caused le...

The Brassica napus Calcineurin B-Like 1/CBL-interacting protein kinase 6 (CBL1/CIPK6) component is involved in the plant response to abiotic stress and ABA signalling

A CBL-interacting protein kinase (CIPK) gene, BnCIPK6, was isolated in Brassica napus. Through yeast two-hybrid screening, 27 interaction partners (including BnCBL1) of BnCIPK6 were identified in Brassica napus. Interaction of BnCIPK6 and BnCBL1 was further confirmed by BiFC (bimolecular fluorescence complementation) in plant cells. Expressions of BnCIPK6 and BnCBL1 were significantly up-regula...

A Protein Kinase, Calcineurin B-Like Protein-Interacting Protein Kinase9, Interacts with Calcium Sensor Calcineurin B-Like Protein3 and Regulates Potassium Homeostasis under Low-Potassium Stress in Arabidopsis1[W][OA]

Potassium (K) is an essential macronutrient for plant growth and development. Previous studies have demonstrated that Calcineurin B-Like Protein1 (CBL1) or CBL9 and CBL-Interacting Protein Kinase23 (CIPK23) regulate K uptake in Arabidopsis (Arabidopsis thaliana) roots by modulating K channel Arabidopsis K Transporter1. In this study, we show that the protein kinase CIPK9 interacts with the calc...
